The start of a new school year is a busy and exciting time. It is also an excellent time to support families in their communication with school staff regarding key incidents in the lives of their children.
A child’s developmental level will influence the way he or she understands death and expresses grief. Over the course of childhood, children develop an understanding of the abstract concepts of death and all of the related beliefs.
